Constructing Guitar Chords
Using the empty illustrations below to fill in one guitar chord for
each blank box. The guitar chords you will be filling in are the Am, C, Dm, Em, F and
G chords. Notice that the Am chord has been illustrated below. It has been
illustrated as a Root 6 bar chord. Each note of the chord has been illustrated.
Use the remaining blank forms to come up the the remaining chords of C major.
Try to illustrate the chords in the box from the 4th fret to the 8th fret. This
may take a lot of thinking. Have the illustration with all of the notes of the
fret board in front of you. Use the illustration of of the circle below to
determine each note of each chord. The notes that make up the Am chord are A, C
and E. These notes are the A root, C flat third and E 5th.
The answers to this assignment can be found
here. But try to do it before checking them out.

Use
the illustration to the left to fill in the chords above. Each section
illustrates the notes of each chord in the key of C major. A couple
notes have been started for you.
The chords of C major are illustrated to the left. Each section shows
the notes of each chord.
The C chord has three notes. C, E and G.
The Dm chord has three notes, D, F, and A.
All of the chords of C major have been illustrated. Use the blank
illustrations above to fill in the chords of C major. |
